[Confession] Don't Breathe
I was battling with my inner self if I should do a review to this movie or not. One, maybe because it's not new and the other was because I was busy over the weekend. But whatevs, my ultimate goal is to review as many as I could - old or new. Thank you very much. Haha
Here's the synopsis for the movie:
Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex and Money are three Detroit thieves who get their kicks by breaking into the houses of wealthy people. Money gets word about a blind veteran who won a major cash settlement following the death of his only child. Figuring he's an easy target, the trio invades the man's secluded home in an abandoned neighborhood. Finding themselves trapped inside, the young intruders must fight for their lives after making a shocking discovery about their supposedly helpless victim.
Lemme say that this isn't particularly my cup of tea. This kind of movie is the movie that gives me nightmares on days I'm sensitive. lol I'd rather watch a whole load of ghost movies and never budge an eyeball than watch movies who has a killer on the loose with a bloody machete in hand. I watched the trailer somewhere before it was shown in cinemas and looking at it already made my hair stand on end - what more when I watch it? So when my friends and I decided to watch this, I knew what I was up for. And yes, we we're screaming the whole time.
But despite being scaredy cats, we appreciated that the story was fast-paced and we didn't find ourselves yawning in boredom. You'll always want to know what's next and that plan of action to escape that hell house. The story behind the blind man was somehow disturbing because it's something that may happen in real life. And that is the main reason why I don't like movies like these - It freakin' may happen in reality!!
Yess. So this Hitchcock-like movie is for thrill-seekers because it'll never disappoint you as it keeps pushing you at the edge of your seat! Try counting your gasps of terror as you watch!
